We may have encountered this person at least once in our lives at the NYC iSchool. She has an amazing personality and is hardworking when it comes to the school and its students. She has been working in the iSchool community for five years.

Emily Dodd is the assistant principal at the NYC iSchool. She is responsible for placing students in their required classes and creating individualized schedules. And what may be viewed as strictness is actually her way of showing immense care.

Ms. Dodd recently revealed to her advisory that she will not be continuing her career in the NYC iSchool. Although her advisory is hurt by the news, they still love her very much.

Ms. Dodd shared her favorite moments at the NYC iSchool, “I really enjoyed the game days, Family Feud because my last advisory did not do it, and Marom’s pictionary days because of her English was not that perfect.” Ms. Dodd is not completely leaving the iSchool community, but she will keep on visiting her advisory from time to time and “loved to see their growth.”

Freshman Zachary Taylor is in Ms. Dodd’s advisory. Taylor states, “I loved her advisory so much I would miss her next year.” Taylor also states that “every day was the best advisory, there was never a day that it was not fun!”

Freshman Daniel Iniguez, also in Ms. Dodd’s advisory, will miss Ms. Dodd. “I remember those game days and it was fun doing that. But since she’s leaving it might not be as fun as her because there is only one of her and no one can replace her. I’m really going to miss her.”

Ms. Dodd has been a faculty member of the NYC iSchool community who made and contributed to the community to make it a better and safer place for five years, and a lot of people can thank her for that.
