For Good
April 5, 2022
Compassion spread across her days
The weather got better in ways
You said it’s cause
She knocked on wood
While it’s really because
He’s gone for good
Even her coffee tasted better
And the icy cold felt more like sweater weather
Oh she truly thought
He was who she was gonna marry
But now their relationship is
In a figurative cemetery
If she had read this ten years ago
She’d cry
Because honestly, she would have sold her soul
For a guy
God the things she would do
For male validation
But now she finds joy
In her trash relationship’s expiration
