Winter 2018 outfits idea for women
January 9, 2018
If you are wondering about how to step up your fashion game, or how to turn that casual outfit into something more interesting, you are in luck.
Here are three outfit ideas for you ladies who are seeking something special and affordable this winter season while staying cozy and warm throughout the day. The black coat is a classic look, but colorful coats are stepping up their game each year when it comes to the chilly months in New York.
These unique coats can add a pop to your outfit instantly, but be careful to keep your outfit simple and let the coat shine. A t-shirt with jeans and a pair of everyday casual sneakers is a look worth trying.
Everyone knows one clever way to stay warm in the winter is by wearing layers. One recommendation is to create interesting contrasts by mix matching colors, and materials.
For a trendy look, try wearing a simple color shirt with a nude or warm color hoodie, then adding a fun jacket such as a distressed jean jacket.
“My ideal outfit choice would have to be comfortable/cute,” said Bethel Berhe, 9th grader at the NYC iSchool. Comfort but still stylish is something many fashion trends aims for.
Long comfy velvet boots are normally worn with grey or navy blue for a more casual look; the two colors enhance the velvety texture or material. If you’re feeling bold, try experimenting with more colorful ones such as purple, pink, or even yellow.
When wearing these boots, try to keep the outfit casual, and avoid clothing that is sporty or too colorful. Try wearing some simple black jeans with a long sweater and a stylish shirt underneath.
Ms. Coleridge, a math teacher at the NYC iSchool, said,“I typically wear all black, so I usually keep it to like a black jeans and a black sweater, I sort of like to incorporate a little color with a scarf.”
Her typical outfit incorporates color with accessories such as scarfs, and the same concept applies to these velvet boots.
“I feel like adding and trying new things like velvet boots are small easy steps to a more refreshing style,” said freshman Yasna Muratovic. Trends are constantly changing, so keep trying them, and when in doubt just ask for suggestions by fashion bloggers or scroll through Instagram.
