In our world, the use of technology is growing more and more. Although technology can aid us with many things, it can also be a bit scary what technology can do.

We see lots of ideas about this in the Netflix original ¨Black Mirror.” “Black Mirror” has won several awards. It does a brilliant job at showing issues in today’s world through technology.

Every episode of ¨Black Mirror¨ is about something different, like mini-movies. In the show, a lot of unexpected events go down. One great aspect of  the show is that you never know what to expect.

“Black Mirror” has many popular episodes.  Fan favorite ¨Be Right Back¨ is about a woman who loses her boyfriend in a car crash. but is able to see him again with a robot-type thing, based on anything he’s ever posted online. However, she quickly discovers he is not the same as her boyfriend.

Another popular episode is ¨Nosedive,¨ where everyone is rated out of five stars, kind of like Yelp. The higher rating you have, the more opportunities you are given. Those with a lower score are treated like social outcasts. Main character Lacie becomes obsessed with getting a higher score.

Most episodes of ¨Black Mirror¨ talk about more than what meets the eye and conveys many sophisticated ideas. At times, it can be a lot to handle. It opens up a lot of questions about what technology might do for us in the future.

I would recommend Black Mirror. It doesn’t have to be a commitment, since every episode is about something different. You can jump around till you find something you like, and it helps see things through a different perspective. I would rate it a 7/10.
