Apple aesthetics

In this new world of creative arts mixed with the latest technological advances, we are able to have access to so many designs and beautiful architecture just at our fingertips. But what about aesthetically pleasing implements that aren’t just on Instagram or Pinterest? One of the biggest technology developers in the world is Apple. Not only do they pay close attention to every design and feature with their products (iPhones, Macbooks, iPads, iPods, etc.) but also to their store design! This includes their architecture as well as the layout of the entire store. Apple is a favorite to many due to their gorgeous, high quality products. Stick around if you want to take a closer look at the Apple store’s interior and exterior designs!

This is the outside of the Apple store on the Upper West Side – West 67th Street, New York, NY on January 1, 2020
The street corner of where the store is located – (1981 Broadway, New York, NY 10023) at around 4 pm on January 1st, a brisk Wednesday afternoon
This is southwest of the upper level of the store (street level). There are more iPhones on display of past models including the iPhone 8, 8 plus, and X. There were white boards that filled the outlining of the store. They showcased some of the most recent releases, such as the iPhone 11, Airpods, Apple watches, and Macbooks
Inside the store, there were many advertisements as well as merchandise on display. This picture showcases wooden tables with white charging outlets for the interactive devices. There are headphones paired with the iPhones on the outer edges. They are nicely lined up, in keeping with the shape of the room
This is a zoomed-out panel of the southwest end of the ground level floor. It is especially captivating due to the beautiful contrast of the bright technology and colors on top of the grey brick walls. We also see the contrast with the brightness of the wood on the grey tiled floors. These aesthetics together make for an engaging artsy view
In this store, you are lead to the bottom level with a huge glass spiral staircase. The railings were a silver metal and the steps had a matte finish. The steps were individually placed so that you can see in between each one. This really added to the futuristic aspect of the place
This is a bottom view of the spiral staircase. The glass allows you to see right through to the top. The walls are also glass (without the matte finish) and leaves room to see straight through the building and at an apartment building across the street
Every day there are free classes that take place. In this photo, a worker leads a group to teach people about the Apple technology. As we can see, the lower level sticks to that pattern of the bright wood and screens on the grey walls and floors

This is a wall display of phone cases for the latest iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. They were not organized by specific colors, but they were somewhat grouped with the case colors that were identical. There was a real emphasis on photography so the phones were also accompanied by some camera phone products (tripod)
Each Phone case was held on an individual hook. The L-shaped shelves for the Apple watches added a chic look to the “rainbow on black and white” vibe that this section gave off
This yet again plays into the overall theme of different materials being paired together for a clean, simultaneously modern and futuristic look (the bright screens on the silver metal and the silver metal on the grey wall)
This section of the store consisted of the iPads and iPad covers/cases. The muted colors on top of the grey brought out the sign in the center that reads “Gifts For Everyone.” The overhead lights were a highlight point that played well into the store arrangement
This view is from the Northeast corner of the second floor. It showcases a display of iPhones on their own individual charging stations, each connected to headphones that can actually be tested out. There is a slight change in the type of contrast – there are black changing stations and the wood is grey rather than white and grey wood
This is the spiral staircase from a top view. It is extremely beautiful and cool at the same time. The structure placed with the metal and the glass makes for an intriguing look for all audiences. The lights are an added element to the futuristic look of the store
Back to ground level, this is a view of the entrance from the inside. It really gives the illusion that the Apple is on the glass when in reality it is hanging inside the store right in front of the entrance. The glass allows us to see the rustic beauty of the city mixed with the modern look of the store
