Places to go around the iSchool

With the school’s location in SoHo has great advantages like having multiple available locations to visit. Whether it is a museum or a clothing store, iSchoolers have a chance to visit these locations and experience new things that many people can not. Here is a list of the many different places iSchoolers can visit that are in close proximity to the school.

Dahesh Museum of Art on 145 6th Ave, New York, NY, Friday afternoon. Contains a collection and exhibition of European academic art from the 19th and 20th century.

 

The Color Factory on 251 Spring St, New York, NY on a cold Friday afternoon. It is a pop-up interactive art exhibition with brightly colored room-sized installations, each themed around the concept of color. Great for taking aesthetically pleasing photos.

 

Famous Ben’s Pizza, 177 Spring St, New York, NY. A three-minute walk from the iSchool and sells “old school” style pizza.

 

Big Drop NYC, 174 Spring St, New York, NY, on Friday afternoon. Sells women’s clothing from independent designers.

 

Channel New York on 139 Spring St, New York, NY, on a Friday afternoon. Great place to find fashionable and luxurious clothing.

 

MoMA Design Store, 81 Spring St A, New York, NY at 4:04 pm. Museum of Modern Art shop selling hip, modern-design objects, gifts, housewares & art books.

 

 

Amazon 4-star, 72 Spring St, New York, NY. Store version of the website Amazon containing all sorts of popular products and customer favorites like electronics, toys, games

 

L’OCCITANE EN PROVENCE, 63 Spring St, New York, NY, January 10th. A France-based store that sells many products with natural ingredients like skincare, bath & hair products.

 

Baked by Melissa, 63 Spring St, New York, NY. Bakery known for a wide variety of inventive, bite-size cupcakes, some dipped in chocolate. Great place to go for an after school treat.

 

Chefs Club Counter, 62 Spring St, New York, NY, Friday afternoon. A restaurant with a menu of grab-&-go dishes from renowned chefs. Great spot for anyone who is vegetarian.

 

Victoria’s Secret PINK, 565 Broadway, New York, NY, on January 10th. Has all sorts of clothing and undergarments for teenage girls.

 

MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM NYC, 558 Broadway, New York, NY, Friday afternoon. An interactive art exhibit with bright colored rooms and ice cream and candy themes. Another place for great pictures.

 

SEPHORA, 555 Broadway, New York, NY, 4:01 pm. Personal care and beauty store which features nearly 300 brands of makeup and skincare.

 

Uniqlo Soho, 546 Broadway, New York, NY, Friday 4:02 pm. Japanese casual wear designer store containing all sorts of clothes for all age groups, sizes, and genders.

 

Nike Soho, 529 Broadway, New York, NY. One out of the many Nike stores, which sells a range of Nike athletic footwear, apparel & accessories. It has a gym on the upper level for any iSchoolers that want to work out.

 

Brandy Melville – Flagship, 519 Broadway, New York, NY, January 10th at 4:08 pm. Italian clothing and fashion accessories brand, marketing their products to teenage girls and young women. Wide variety of one size fits all clothing.
