How can our cafeteria improve?
November 15, 2016
Students complain that the school cafeteria serves very little under the new lunch menu. Students complain that the school cafeteria doesn’t serve enough to eat and that’s pretty unfair. The government should use more of that tax money to school lunches and make sure that students in the educational system get fed well.
Students complain that the temperature at the cafeteria is too hot and the air is bad. We should open the windows, or get air conditioning in the cafeteria so that it will be comfortable for students to eat.
We have asked some students and teachers to see if they want to eat at the cafeteria or to eat outside, and 98% of them said that they prefer to go out for lunch instead of the cafeteria.
The iNews teacher Ms. Mangano said she’s never been to the cafeteria before. The students that have stayed it the cafeteria tried to get seconds so that they could fulfill their hunger, but the staff said that they can’t serve the students more food. Students that try to go out for lunch sometimes have trouble coming up with the money for that, too. So what’s the solution for this problem?
A sophomore named Shanai Williams stated that ”the new lunch standards should be changed because if I the student are not getting the meal that is going to get me through the day then why call it lunch at all?”
Not just the temperature, and also the cafeteria should be more clear of the trash recycling and the non-recycles. Because it’s important we as citizens of the United state to take care of our environment.
If students have the awareness of difference between the plastics and cardboards from school, many of them will do it at home too, and it’s like a butterfly effect, more and more people will know how to distribute different kinds of trash, and knowing the importance of doing it. Then, the world be a better place for our children.
Anyways, the cafeteria is lower standard for a person who’s living in New York City. Hope the school can gain more opportunities for their students that they should love more.
