Tennessee In The Wintertime
November 15, 2021
The humming of cicadas has come to a halt
White snow gently falls from the sky like
Glitter, covering houses and treetops
The crisp breeze from fall has seeped past
Now making room for the shocking blast of icy wind
The flowers, once blooming and basking in the sun are now
Wilted ready to be reborn in the springtime
I sit inside, huddled up by the television
Warm air swirls around the room
Tempting anyone outside
The christmas tree stands tall wrapped in
Wire
Christmas presents circle underneath with their gleaming
Bows
The inviting warmth of bliss and togetherness infuses
The house
That is sprinkled with delicate flakes made of snow
