The iSchool is known for its very “out of the box” ideas and school spirit events like Twin Day, Shirt Day, and Family Feud. However, there’s one extra important event for those basketball fans called March Madness.

March Madness! Well, not the kind you know but the iSchool’s version of it. The iSchool holds a mock March Madness to raise money and entertain its students with some awesome student-staff basketball games. One of the highlights of the game was actually Mr. Whittaker (the geometry teacher) falling down after a major jump.

Freshman Ana, who is Mr. Whittaker’s advisee, saw the video and was hysterical laughing. “When i saw him fall… He tried to dunk.”

“I called him looker once and he thought it wasn’t funny.”

Sophomore Caireann Sardino said that “I’m pretty sure he was trying to dunk and someone knocked him down.”

Lastly, we interviewed the math department player and geometry teacher, Mr. Whittaker himself. We confirmed some of our previous statements from other students and everything was true, “I went for a rebound and when I came down, I fell backwards.”

“We won the first round, and then we lost in the second round…I got a single double, I am proud of my double single”.

He does deny the claim of his advisee and called him “Looker.”

He wasn’t proud of his performance in the game because of his single double and would have preferred a triple double as the score, but he said, “ I had fun and my team did too.
