“My favorite part about being on the bowling team is how we use teamwork and each other’s help to work as a whole.” These are the thoughts of player Bryant Garcia. Here at the NYC iSchool we have many sports teams such as baseball, soccer and basketball. Chelsea and iSchool’s bowling team just started their season.

The team started off with high hopes that were soon crushed as they started off with five losses. Despite the series of unfortunate events, things soon started to change for the small team of ten players as they have won five games. Yonathan, a Chelsea player, said, “I love it when we lose because it means we can only get better.”

As with a lot of sports, your position always matters. iSchool junior Stephen Naula said that “there’s a four step form in order to get strikes, starting off with your body positioning all the way down to the release of the ball.” Using feedback from his fellow team members and coach, Stephen was able to successfully make his last game on Monday, October 12, his best.

The team has been around for over five years since its collaboration with Chelsea High School, and the team continues to play as long as members keep rejoining and new members join the team.
