The city that never sleeps

New York City is commonly known as The City That Never Sleeps. And for good reason! With all the neon lights, cars zooming past, and people still out and about, the city is definitely not asleep, even when it’s past midnight. Check out some photos of NYC at night.

This is a photo of 58th street and 9th avenue. Even though it’s night time, you can still see that it’s still pretty busy.

 

This is a photo of the same street as the previous photo. There are still many pedestrians out and about during the night.

 

This is the SBS bus stop at 34th and 2nd. You can see that people are still waiting for the bus, and there is still a lot of traffic late at night.

 

This is another photo of 34th and 2nd avenue. No matter how late it gets, there is still a crazy amount of cars rushing past this street.

 

This photo was taken on 34th and 7th avenue. People are still out on the brightly lit streets that are buzzing with activity.

 

This photo was taken at the 34th street one train station. Even at night, people in the city are still going places!

 

It’s never too late to shop! This picture is of the Time Warner Center Mall in Columbus Circle, midtown Manhattan.

 

This is another photo of Columbus Circle at night. It’s a popular shopping center and is right by a popular train station, making it a populous area.

 

Lincoln Center always has shows inside it’s theaters late at night. But there are still people who like to hang out outside by the famous fountain.

 

Times Square is one of the busiest parts of NYC, and in The City That Never Sleeps, Times Square is as crowded and alive as it is during the day.

 

This is another photo of Times Square. This also shows the large amount of people still outside, even though it’s pretty late.

 

This is another photo of the same street as the previous photo. You can much more clearly see the sea of people on the streets of Times Square.

 

Like Times Square, 5th avenue is known to be a very busy street. This photo shows that even during the night, it’s still a very animated place.

 

Even though it’s night time, people have yet to step off the ice at Bryant Park.

 

The famous Rockefeller Center ice rink is still alive, late at night, with people exploring the ice rink and surrounding shops.
